Cairo

                                                                                                             November 2021

The fall,

it was the immediate sensation I had when I arrived.

As if the civilization that had flourished here was collapsing in whole sections, like these buildings on the ground in the middle of the streets of the downtown districts.

This feeling of an irremediable spiral dragging the city and its inhabitants towards a nothingness made of rubble and dust.

Cairo seems to be an abandoned city, abandoned by the gods who built it, of which only almost invisible traces remain.

A city on its way to ruin, where nothing seems to be able to hinder the fall.
